Objects of Desire in 3D printing

Exhibition of 3D Objects at the Art and Design Productions Gallery, Kortrijk, Belgium

During: WONDER Festival Kortrijk and Art Weekend Kortrijk

Dates: October 10 – November 2, 2025

Overview

This international call for entries is free of charge and open to:

  • Companies
  • Designers and freelance designers
  • Universities and higher education students

We welcome submissions using all techniques of 3D printing and additive manufacturing.

Theme: “Objects of Desire in 3D printing”

We are looking for objects that seduce through their look and feel, function, uselessness, attraction, or that irresistible “want-to-have” X-factor.

The selected works will blur the line between art and design, showcasing aesthetic excellence in either high-tech or craftsmanship.

Selection Criteria

A professional jury will evaluate submissions based on:

  • Originality
  • Design quality
  • Color scheme
  • Functionality or artistic value
  • Design quality both functional and emotional

All types of objects are welcome, including:
  • Interior design pieces
  • Furniture, lighting, personal objects
  • Art-design objects
  • Textiles in 3D printing

Important Dates
  • Submission Deadline: September 5 at 8 p.m. — you can fill in your submission step by step, start soon!
  • Jury Evaluation: September 8 & 9, 2025
  • Notification of Selection: Between September 10 and 11
  • Delivery: September 15 – 21 (not later!), at Art and Design Productions, Kortrijk, Belgium
  • Opening Exhibition: Friday, October 10 at 6 p.m.
  • Wonderfestival Kortrijk: October 16 – November 2
  • Art Weekend Kortrijk: October 24 / 25 / 26
  • End of Exhibition: Sunday, November 2
  • Collection of Unsold Items: November 3 – 8

Submission Details
  • Free participation for 3D-printed or additively manufactured objects
  • You may submit up to 10 objects
  • Selling price = ... euro (includes 35% gallery commission)
  • VAT: 21%, divided 65/35
  • Weight: must be noted in grams (g) in the registration form
  • VAT number / company number if available
  • Successful objects may lead to further collaboration or orders with the gallery

STEP 2

Exhibition terms

  • Only selected objects will be exhibited.
  • Objects must be original and 3D-printed or produced according to your design.
  • Object can be partly in 3D printing and assembled with other materials
  • Designers retain ownership but grant permission for exhibition and promotional use of images.
  • Selected works will be for sale; a contract will outline rights and a 35% gallery commission.
  • The gallery is not liable for damage but will ensure safe and aesthetic display.
  • Selected objects must be delivered or shipped securely between 9 and 20 September 2025.
